Sales and Marketing Manager
Location: Tuqtuquilal, Lanquín, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala (Flexible)
Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (Flexible for the right candidate)
Ideal Dates: Starting immediately
Tuqtuquilal is looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager who is passionate about community, conscious business, and building a regenerative culture. This person will lead both local and international sales efforts, build meaningful partnerships, and help Tuqtuquilal grow its client base and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
sales & relationship building
Build and maintain relationships with local cafes, retailers, and likeminded community organizers in Guatemala
Identify and nurture relationships with international wholesale and retail partners
Take and manage orders, coordinate logistics, and handle invoicing and follow-ups
Respond to customer inquiries and build long-term customer relationships
Marketing & Community Building
Develop creative campaigns to share our story and the deeper meaning behind our cacao.
Plan and execute small events, cacao tastings, and community-building experiences
Support content creation and storytelling across email, social media, and partner channels
Design and launch an Ambassador Program for aligned individuals and organizations.
partnerships & strategy
Identify aligned partners for co-branded offerings or collaborative events
Track and report on marketing and sales performance; suggest improvements for the future
Help develop new sales channels, both in-person and online
Identify and develop strategic retail product offerings based on our resource network
Success in This Role Looks Like:
Selling out of our cacao supply
Increased recurring revenue with wholesale partners
Placement in retail spaces for direct to consumer purchases
More cafes offering ceremonial cacao as a beverage and sourcing from Tuqtuquilal
Increased brand awareness among people in the cacao world
More guests coming to stay with us or host retreats at Tuqtuquilal
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you’re a natural connector
Sales, marketing, or community organizing experience
Bilingual (Spanish & English) strongly preferred
Passion for regenerative agriculture, plant medicine, and ethical trade
Organized, proactive, and aligned with our mission and values
Exchange:
This is a paid position. Rate and structure (hourly, stipend, commission-based, or hybrid) will be determined based on experience and commitment level.
